Matt and Dom started Baldassari Wines in 2003 with 92 cases of Bennett Valley Syrah. Dom was exiting a long career in the mail industry; and Matt, who graduated from UC Davis in Fermentation Science, was working as assistant winemaker at Quivira Vineyards. 20 years later, Matt is now the winemaker at Robert Young Estate Winery, and Dom enjoys greeting guests at  our tasting lounge in downtown Windsor, CA. Baldassari Wines showcases small vineyard sites in Sonoma County that are grown by independent growers. We continue to pursue sites and growers who care immensely about the varietals they produce. Sonoma County is a premier wine region in the world and our wines are crafted with intent and purpose to showcase that.
